Born in Strand, Western Cape as Akhona Khanyisile Sanele Molo, Khanyisile Qha is a RnB/Soul artist who stepped into the music scene with a purpose and vision. Although she started singing at an early age, Khanyisile only began to share her talents with the world in 2020 when she released two singles on SoundCloud where she captivated the interests of her peers. Due to being a full time student at the time, and coming from a household that encourages focusing on academics more than anything else, Khanyisile Qha decided to lay low with her music interests. In the following year, 2021, what was supposed to be a recording session for one verse for a song named , “Better” by Lurah, turned into a collaborative tape, named, “TIES” . The project was well received by the public, landing a spot on Apple’s Music top 100 chart in it’s debut week. Khanyisile also made an appearance on two songs on Simulationrxps’ album, “Live from eLokshini", early 2022. She went on to join forces with the Cape Town based media powerhouse, "Mavala Media Space” which has a reputable brand in building local artists and taking them to greater heights. On the 13th June 2022, Khanyisile Qha released visuals for her first single of the year, titled ICU, accompanied by amazing by the audio. ICU has been on high rotation on South African radio stations such Radio 2000, Bush Radio, Kovsie, UCR FM, Whale coast FM etc. It also made it on number one of KZN biggest radio stations, Gagasi FM top 10 RnB charts.
