His inspirations include a range of old school artists such as Snoop Dogg, ATCQ and Jurassic 5 along with more contemporary artists such as J.Cole, Anderson Paak and Joyner Lucas. Ballsy has developed a unique sound, a fusion of wordplay and storytelling mixed with modern and alternative production to provide a fresh listening experience. Ranging from hyped up, hard hitting party bangers, to heartfelt and expressive lyrics, his versatility shines through on every track. Collaborating with up and coming artists as well as legends of the local scene, he continues to release singles in the leadup to an eventual studio project.
