She sings about travelling, shifting identities, falling empires and our contemporary crave for success and love. Her heart-warming voice, her band's quirky strings and drums build a unique sound on her albums, where you can hear her passion for traditional musics. Despite a natural flair for minor chords, Pollyanna's cheerful presence, eclectic taste and experiences as an outsider (in Europe, the USA, South America…) open up her musical field to all things pop, rock, folk and folklores. On stage, she supported Wilco, Sleater-Kinney, Justin Sullivan, Dominique A or the French chanteuse Françoiz Breut. From acoustic strummers in Memphis to shanty choirs in Bremen and riot grrrls in Hamburg, all this moving around gave Pollyanna's sound openness and freedom.
