Biography

Raised on the Coal Coast of NSW, Timothy James Bowen is a singer-songwriter with an unforgettable voice who lays his soul bare with every word. In Sept. of 2022, Timothy showcased for Sounds Australia at Americana Fest in Nashville, TN. He gained a loyal following appearing in the Top 8 on The Voice 2020 where two of his own songs were featured on the program. He then embarked on a national tour over 2020/21 with ARIA award winning artist, Fanny Lumsden and capped off 2020 by performing for Channel 9’s Rural Aid live event ‘Goodonya Mate’ in November and their revered Christmas special ‘Carol’s By Candlelight’. Bowen co-wrote and featured on Christie Lamb’s single, ‘Up All Night’ from her #1 ARIA album, ‘Truth’. In years gone by, Bowen was nominated for Live Voice of the Year at the 2018 National Live Music Awards, made multiple appearances at the Grand Ole Opry (USA) and has embarked on multiple international tours with his sister, Clare Bowen. He received two top 40 placement’s in the Vanda & Young songwriting competition for 2018/19 and following his near-death battle with cancer in 2015, he became a Cancer Council Ambassador and was awarded Cancer Council NSW High Profile Ambassador of the Year in 2019. Timothy has written several songs for US and Australian TV series’, Virgin Mobile Australia and Cancer Council NSW. With a much anticipated album on the horizon and a national tour planned for Summer 2022/23, Timothy will be one to watch in the months ahead.
