A composer whose melodies conjure both the grandeur of orchestras, the enchantment of fantasy, the cosmic sounds of electronics or the power of electric guitars. His rhythmic heartbeat forged in the fires of Metal at a young age, driven by the pulse of the double bass and the relentless energy of electric guitars, Ivo was founder, composer and drummer for the metal band Xystus. Writing and releasing 3 records, the third one being the Rock Opera "Equilibrio" which saw it's premiere in 2008, touring through Europa, being one of the promising rising Dutch metal bands in the period of 2004-2010, the band called it quits in 2010. Ivo started his study as Composer for Media at the University of Arts Utrecht that same year, following his passion for videogames he focused on adaptive music. As a completely over the top graduation project, Ivo was initiator, composer and musician on his 4th release: Karmaflow: The Rock Opera Videogame. A gargantuan project featuring Het Metropole Orkest, singers from bands such as Dragonforce, Arch Enemy, Cradle of Filth, Sonata Arctica and many many more. Over 150 people where involved in creating both the game and the live show. The album was re=released and remastered in 2024.
