This album is a mix of the urban sound from NYC, funk, pop, world music and jazz. Influenced by J. Dilla, Stevie Wonder and the incredible timbre of the 1970s synthesizers, but also by Pharoah Sander, Maceo Parker and Fela Kuti. With those ingredients, we can say Orbital is a amazing sound trip in a spaceship whose only purpose is to take you on a sensory path in a great vibe of love. Joel Ferreira shows his impressions of the world under a particular perspective, through his sax and futuristic timbres strongly present in his compositions. In this album all the songs were written by Joel. Orbital was produced by himself with Donatinho (first phase) and Letto and Gabriel Lossio, who signs the remix of one of the tracks (second phase). The album was produced in 2018, in the Synth Love Studio and Joel’s Home Studio. The special guests are great brazilian musicians like Carlos Malta, Jonathan Ferr, Alex de Sá, Raphael Cardoso and Alexandre Cavallo. Joel Ferreira is a saxophonist, flautist, songwriter and music producer.
