Jacques Laine is a Hip-Hop artist from Newburgh, New York, and a child of Haitian immigrants. Jacques started his Hip-Hop journey at a very young age, where he grew up on Jay-Z, Nas, and Biggie, admiring their vivid storytelling abilities. It was this upbringing that inspired Jacques to share stories of his own, both raw and emotional, coming from Newburgh and of his Haitian ancestry. Following his graduation, in an effort to take rap seriously, Jacques often worked long hours at his day job to support his dream, even hiding in the bathroom to write song ideas, all of which culminated in his debut project, "Homecoming," in 2018. This led to him soon after opening for Cozz in 2019, and the rest is history. Since then, Jacques has released three more projects working with Grammy Award-winning artists like Pardison Fontaine and Billboard-topping producers such as Dizzy Banko, signed a sync partnership with Issa Rae's "Raedio" imprint featuring him on the critically acclaimed TV show 'Rap Shit,' featured in brand partnerships with Footlocker and Nike, toured with the globally recognized music community SoFar Sounds, and appeared on go-to Hip-Hop platforms such as On The Radar. In an era of music where Hip-Hop fans are gravitating more towards left-of-center artists and lyrical storytellers, Jacques is a breath of fresh air that fits like a glove and is only getting started.
