Vocal powerhouse Ericka “Lady E” Symonette is a jewel of The Bahamas and a top-ranking female artist in the country. Born and raised in The Bahamas, she launched her professional music career in early 2000 and has built a loyal fan base throughout the 700 islands and cays with her energetic performances and infectious sound of down-home Rake ‘n’ Scrape. Lady E has taken her sound to stages internationally, sharing her Bahamian Caribbean heritage with audiences globally, working with international producers like SONY DJ Buda, and having her music featured on television, like her 2010 duet “For You” with fellow Bahamian Singer, Songwriter and Producer Colyn McDonald which was chosen by Disney to appear in the popular television series ‘Scrubs’. In 2015, Lady E participated in the first Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival Music Masters Competition with her anthem ‘My Islands in the Sun’ featuring Ira Storr. The song made history by capturing 1st place in the Road Fever Song Competition for racking up the most plays on the carnival route and 2nd place overall. “Feel That Rhythm” was released later that year and features a rhythmic collaboration of Junkanoo and Rake ‘n’ Scrape with a dynamic Soca flair.
