Irie Souljah is a singer, songwriter and producer based in Kingston (Jamaica) for a decade. Irie was born and raised in Barcelona. After dropping out of music school in his mid-teens, he started going to street parties with his friends, where he discovered the fierce lyricism and deep spirituality of reggae icons such as Sizzla Kalonji, Capleton and Buju Banton. The moment he watched Sizzla perform in 2009, he made it his life’s purpose to become a musical legend himself. After finding success with his band, Mystic Souldiers, Irie moved to Jamaica in 2014. He was well-received by Jamaica’s music fraternity, leading to collaborations with famous artists such as Kabaka Pyramid and Jessie Royal on his first studio album, Immigrant, which featured hit singles such as Learn And Grow and Who Is The Immigrant. He later toured Europe with superstars such as Coco Tea, Kabaka Pyramid and appearances with Chronixx & Junior Gong. Lately, Irie’s been working with his team to refine his sound and expand his catalogue. He recently hit the studio to finalize his upcoming EP, which comes out in September. The EP will feature a wide array of musical genres such as dancehall, R&B and afrobeat and will showcase Irie’s versatility as an artist, which can be heard in tracks such as Kiss the Sky, which was released in April, and his latest single, Helping Hand, which came out in June. His next single, Thankful, comes out on July 22nd.
