From a family legacy of hardworking people, TOKE is the first Rocky Mountain born of his bloodline. He is also the first of his Irish lineage to pursue a serious personal passion for music/ expression at a very young age in hip-hop. The self-taught rapper gained knowledge of recording, public relations, networking etc. from a broadcasting school near Denver. This is where he also got the name ,TOKE from a group he was in where he started doing shows regularly. During his short-lived broadcasting career, TOKE did production assistant work briefly for, American Idol. At the try-outs in Mile High Stadium he was doing walk through checks in the stadium stands and found a bag of weed. “Somebody thought I was security... I put that shit in my pocket, took it home and smoked it.” -TOKE 
 Toke, is a name often related to in the cannabis culture which would make perfect sense for a Colorado-born rapper. It also holds truth because his love for the cannabis culture . The name of the Colorado rapper is capitalized, TOKE as an expression of the artist’s rebel attitude toward societal norms/ language and also as an acronym, T.O.K.E. ( which refers to TOKE’s self mantra, “ Tomorrow Only Knows Elevation” in his own definition means to better yourself everyday ). 
 TOKE’s style is unique and is based from electronic music mixed with a hip-hop flavor. Some old school to modern sounds.
