Biography
Robert Waechter was born 1958 in Vienna/Austria where he grew up and studied the violin with H.Binder and A. Staar. In 1980, he became the concertmaster of the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra. Since 1984, he has been concertmaster of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Nice/Opera de Nice and lives in France. The Viennese cultural imprint still remains strong enough to prevent a decent french pronunciation. He is also composer and writes essentially for violin.
