Biography

ROGERS & BUTLER RELEASES DEBUT FULL-LENGTH CD ON ZIP RECORDS After releasing a well-received, four-song EP, Diana Dors, Rogers & Butler released their first full-length album, Poets & Sinners, on Zip Records on June 26th. With Poets & Sinners, Rogers & Butler display their stunning melodic songwriting talents, and along with Don Piper’s production skills, have delivered their strongest music to date with eleven brand-new compositions. Rogers & Butler are joined by some of NYC’s best known musicians: Sal Maida (Roxy Music, Sparks), Dennis Diken (Smithereens), Joe McGinty (Psychedelic Furs) and Don Piper (Marty Willson-Piper). Raconteurs? Rascals? Men of wealth and taste? Why, YES. That's Edward Rogers and Stephen Butler; their new release Poets & Sinners shimmers and jangles. These two have made one of the best long-players of the year so far. Alec Cumming, WPKN Sitting firmly in a pop tradition that marries Mick Ronson to Marmalade on some mythical Carnaby Street USA, it’s a seamless pairing and meshing of styles. (4 stars).  Shindig! Magazine During this isolation period, Rogers & Butler, along with producer/guitarist Don Piper, made several videos: “Olde Store Fronts, “Roll The Stone” which premiered on The Strange Brew Podcast and “A Satisfied Mind” which Magnet Magazine premiered as part of a feature on Rogers & Butler called “Isolation Drills.”
