Biography

Brooklyn based producer and DJ Emmedy Myer aka Say3 polyrhythms are fueled by his Haitian and Liberian upbringing. His music pulls from both African and Caribbean diasporas, bringing undeniable rhythms to the dance floor. Inspired by his father’s love of music, Say3 took up the drums at the age of 12. It was only a few years later that he discovered a world of global sounds, jazz and the rhythms of house music. From there, Say3 promptly sold his drum set, and began focusing on molding his sound creating genre bending remixes. Gaining attention with his undeniably rhythmic drums, Say3 has shared the stage with well-known DJs such as Ape Drums, DJ Lag and Bas, who he also collaborated with through a Jameson project in 2021. Say3 was brought in to remix Bas and Earthgang’s song “Jollof Rice,” which was released by Dreamville and gathered more than 1.5 million streams. Say3 has released a steady stream of original tracks and remixes throughout the last few years including three compilations of afro-edits; this has gained him supporters from around the world. Say3 is currently finishing up his latest EP titled “Sayesystem,” which will cement his position in Afro-house.
