Biography

Massimiliano Sanca, was born in Gavardo (BS) in 1973. In 1996 he graduated in Organ and Organ Composition with full marks, under the guidance of R. Zarpellon, T. Ziliani and Giorgio Benati at the Conservatorio “L. Marenzio ”of Brescia. He has participated in numerous organ interpretation courses (M. Radulescu, A. Mitterhofer †, H. Vogel) and performance practice of Renaissance and Baroque music. In 1996 he won the competition to enter the prestigious "Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst", which later became the Universitӓt für Musik of Vienna (Austria) and from 1996 to 2001 he continued studies in "Orgelkonzertfach" (Concert organ department) under the direction of Alfred Mitterhofer † and then with Roman Summereder, and harpsichord and b.c. with Augusta Campagne. As a soloist he has to his credit numerous concerts in Italy for important festivals in Italy and Europe, recording for the radios WDR and RAI. From 1996 to 2009 he was the organist on the G. Antegnati organ (1581) at the church of San Giuseppe in Brescia, while he is still the performer of the A. Bonatti (1760) and I. Colzani (2008) organs of the Parish and Sanctuary in Vallio Terme (BS). He was invited to play in the Vatican State at St. Peter's Basilica and gave concerts on the great Mascioni organ at the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome.
