Bands Epps (a.k.a RS4), is a South African rapper/producer. He is one of the most influential venrap artists of his generation, with his music having heavily shaped contemporary venrap and ventrap music and, inspired numerous artists from Nzhelele and beyond. Known for his eccentric venrap style, he received his first attention for his collaborations with rapper and close friend TBag Hov. Bands initially released a series of independent singles beginning in 2010 with Lutroo Da Music. In early 2011, he teamed up with TBag Hov, Ayzetay, Thamba and The Igwe, and started a collective professionally known as Awesome Entertainment which later incorporated the youngest (by the time) venrap artist HvrdKO. Later that year, he launched his record label, Stable Records, and it has since been one of the most reliable record labels in the industry. Bands earned his recognition in 2011 with single "Ri Marasta" and several other singles, including My Life, "Vhusiwana Do Vhu Fhedza" with Mac J Macfam. In 2016, he released a number of singles and an EP, Young Bando, and then another EP, Bando Huncho a year after. These were followed by hit singles; Racks with Metro Cmg, Dream About It, Mbanzhe Nga Bag, Morning, and appears on Dzikhadiwa with TBag Hov, Geenkon and Vhole. He also appears in WTRBYS's Compilation 1 and Ayzetay's Village Boy EP. In 2022, on his birthday (April 29th) he released a joint single Komc (King of My City) with HvrdKO and more new music is highly expected.
