Biography

Manu is an Artist/Producer from Albuquerque, NM. He began making music during his years at Moriarty High School in Moriarty, NM. By graduation he had become the front man of a popular local rock band called The Gracies. In his late teens and early 20s, Manu played solo acoustic shows at the coffee shops around Albuquerque, honing the crafts of songwriting and live performance. In the Fall of 2015, he met Producer Zuus while attending UNM. Manu and Zuus met The Drewniverse through mutual friends in the spring of 2016; with Daejo, they formed the collective PLEASE and released the label mixtape Please Plus, Vol. 1. In The Fall of 2018, Manu moved from Albuquerque, to Los Angeles, California. Since moving to L.A. he has greatly expanded his musical palette. Time Traveler was released in July of 2019, and was inspired by the era-less sounds of Jaime XX, and other multi-genre pop producers. This sound was further expanded upon in 2020's Good Luck, Good Luck. Manu's next single, 'With Lights Out' marked a return to his roots and boasts a more Indie Rock sound than previous releases. 'With Lights Out' was followed a series of singles including 'What She Said' and the funky 'Stupid Games' in 2021.
