Ivana Parnasso is an Italian artist dedicated to the world of art, a musical composer, but also sculptor and painter. She grows up in a family where music and artistic inspiration are constantly experienced. Thanks to her father drummer, she has lived since she was a child in a world of notes and harmonies, absorbing sounds that would have influenced her artistic career. Percussionist and composer also endowed with a beautiful voice, she began her first steps in music at the age of 18, experimenting with genres such as Bossa Nova and Funk. As a composer, her music has an elegant approach, the musical influences in her compositions have a taste of Bossa Nova, Funk, Soul Jazz, referring to the Lounge/Chillout with seventies nostalgia. His debut in the music world is the album PICK! (2010, Sobra) the first album had a positive response throughout Europe. Her second album SPIROGRAPH (2012, Irma) is a blend of Bossa Nova, Funk and Jazz well balanced to create a magical atmosphere. In 2014 it's the turn of the fascinating third album EPISODE 3 also on Sobra, which includes many cinematic soundscapes. In 2018 she produced two singles with oriental reminiscences, published in two compilations distributed by Halidon. After a long break, in 2023 she returns to the Irma Records label, producing new musical compositions, like her latest singles Mystery Action and Sicilian Mission both including Cinematic seventies sounds.
