Biography

Yash Nirwan, a dedicated student of Hindustani Classical music, began his musical journey at the tender age of eight. Born into a family of exceptional musicians and artists, he was first trained by his father, Om Prakash Nirwan, and Dada Guru Pandit Mani Prasad in Delhi. Driven by a deep passion for music, Yash later trained under the legendary Sarod maestro Pandit Sunil Mukherjee, who he continues to consider his one true binding force and Guru. Influenced by icons like Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and AR Rahman, Yash merges traditional ragas with contemporary sounds, creating a fusion that resonates with a diverse audience. Yash has performed alongside Lucky Ali for MTV Unacademy Unwind and at prestigious festivals like Magnetic Fields Festival, Sunburn, VH1 Supersonic, and Vivaan – India Handpan Festival. His performances span across Mumbai, Goa, and various other parts of India, uniting communities and bringing people together through his music, celebrating the universal language of sound.
