Duey is not the artist to put in a box. The Canadian born artist’s many sources of inspiration know no bounds when it comes to his craft. With musical influences from the likes of MJ, Drake, Chris Brown, and Biggie, when Duey is in the studio, his goals are simple; touch the lives of all those who come across his music, and create an experience that is clearly and authentically translated through his music. If you are turning up one minute and in your feels the next, he has done his job.   Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, and known to his loved ones as “D”, the jumpstart to Duey’s appreciation of music began very young. He grew up a church boy with chorister parents, but ultimately, he attributes his devotion to music to his sister and dad. By the age of 9, he had started rapping and began to perform at local shows across the city till his early teen years. The birth of Duey came in 2018, after moving to Toronto, where he decided to reconnect with his first love, music. By 2019 he had released his first single, “Championships”, and the rest is history in the making. Despite relocating, Duey’s love for his hometown will never die, this is something he stands by.   What is Volume Four?    “Volume Four is me. It’s the music. It’s the people around me. It’s the fourth stage of my life.”
