Biography

The true soul of R&B is finally about to be unleashed. Dion Jenkins, better known mononymously as Dion, is an American singer-songwriter and record producer perhaps best known for frequently collaborating with Aftermath Entertainment recording artists The Game, 50 Cent and Young Buck. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dion attended Central State University where he earned himself a degree in Performance Music. His first foray into the industry was via the R&B group Jonz who released a record in 1999 henceforth gaining notoriety on BET's "The Way We Do It" but it wasn't until being brought on board via an audition with producer Hi-Tek sponsored by Def Jam and MCA records, that solidified his position as one of Hip Hop's go to crooners. Shortly thereafter Dion gained the attention of West Coast Hip Hop pioneer Dr. Dre who invited him to work with The Game for Game's debut album The Documentary. This lead to Dr. Dre teaming Dion up with other Aftermath artist such 50 Cent, G-Unit, D12, Young Buck, and more. You can also find Dion laying down the smooth vocals for Top artists including Talib Kweli, Bishop Lamont, 213 (Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Nate Dogg), Xzibit, Kurupt, and Freeway among many others. Now based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Dion is independent and releasing his music to the world.  It’s hard to deny why Dion is considered the “New Generation Marvin Gaye”… you will agree the moment you first listen.
