With her commercial pop vocals, catchy melodies, and seamless songwriting abilities, Kay release’s her first single Chemistry, this May. A pop enchantment with a powerful message, Kay sings about meeting someone new and exciting, with the feelings that follow. Born and raised in southeast London, the 21-year-old has spent her years illustrating her pop sound with fun upbeat themes, whilst studying at North Kent College to then graduate at the University Of Westminster. “Music has always been an outlet for me, despite not realising it as an option for a career until later on. Music, has always empowered me to overcome obstacles and still does to this day. My parents also played a huge part in my growth in always supporting me even when no one in my extended family did music as well as allowing me to have opportunities and lessons in multiple instruments including piano from a young age.” During her growth as a young musician, Kay has always wrote about her own life experiences whilst developing her sound as an artist. Despite Chemistry being her first official release, Kay says, she has finally found her sound after a journey of relentless effort in her creativity.
