Such is a Boston born, New York raised, California educated, Chicago groomed soul singer. She's released one full length studio album, Trial and Error, best known for her single Sugar Maple, which spent several weeks atop Amazon’s and UK’s Soul Charts, and is a Sirius XM Heart & Soul Radio’s favorite. She’s recently released Before Dark, the leading single to her next project. Such has toured domestically in renowned venues such as The House of Blues Vegas, NYC's BB Kings and The Blue Note, DC's Blues Alley, and internationally in the U.K. (London, Manchester, Birmingham), Amsterdam, Paris, Austria (Vienna, Salzburg), and most recently in Bogotá, Colombia. She’s shared the stage with Chaka Khan, Erykah Badu, Dwele, The Floacist, Yolanda Adams, Patrice Rushen, Peter Cincotti, Kurt Elling, Dave Koz, among others. In 2016, she became the only Black American woman to win an All African Music Award (AFRIMA) for a remixed version of her song “You (Icytat Vocal Mix)” with Zimbabwean DJ ICYTAT. Such is also a critically acclaimed actress. She rose to regional prominence as Celie in the the Color Purple, earning a Henry Award for Outstanding Actress and BroadwayWorld Awards for Best Actress and Best Acting Debut. She continues to have several TV appearances including an Emmy-winning NBC Special and national TV commercials for McDonalds, Honda, GM, and Kaiser Permanente.
