He studied guitar and composition in his native city and in Mar del Plata, Argentina, and lives in Switzerland since 1989. Active and known since more than 30 years in the region of Biel/Bienne (CH), Carlos Dorado created his own unique playing style, combining Argentinean folklore and jazz. He works with many different tunings to broaden the spectrum of the guitar in search of new colors and harmonies. He has recorded ten CDs of his own compositions and has performed concerts at festivals throughout Europe, America and Asia. His works were published in Italy (Edizione Carrara) and the USA (Mel Bay Publication) and his music was released on Acoustic Music Records in Germany.
