Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer Mad Sadiq (born Ahmad Sadiq Jackson) first burst onto the underground hip-hop scene as a member of the rap collective PLAYA Records, alongside Major Zay, Senseishen, and Varii. Sadiq delivered his first solo mixtape, Outspoken, in 2017 while still a member of PLAYA Records, until the group disbanded later that year. In 2018, Mad Sadiq was involved in the creation of the collective 602castncrew. That same year they released their first mixtape as a group, 602 The Tape. After a year of singles and a couple extended plays, the group along with Mad Sadiq released their first album, ECSTASY, in 2019. The album features the likes of Mick Jenkins and unknown sensation Master Destroyer. His debut album, "SADIQ", was released in 2021.
