Dimjami Groove cannon shooting out tunes from Helsinki. From the underground acid jazz to space funk and dub sounds, Dimjami's been putting people to dance ever since the year of 2014. The band released their debut album "Album One" 2018 with singer Hossni Boudali and played festival and club gigs before crawling back to their bombshelter base camp studio to collaborate with rap artist Bentality. With the dec.2019 single We Gotta Move / High Frequency (feat. Bentality) , Dimjami and Bentality dive in to deep end of 90's acid jazz and hip hop sound. The bands spinal and brains are guitarist Joonas Pirttilä, drummer Niko Nurminen and bass player Tuomas Kirkkopelto with their decades of experience together in Helsinki underground scene. Percussionist Mikko Koivisto, trumpet player Antero Priha, organ wizard Kalle Salonen and vocalist Leevi Priha put their very important and spiced addings to the mix that creates the sound of Dimjami. 2020 Dimjami release is the Dub The Bombshelter EP. Stripped-down improvisatoric trio dub played live to tape, including just drums +pads, bass and guitar . Mysterioso Erakko is playing flute on two tracks! 2021 Dimjami full octet released two singles on Stidi Records both recorded live on stream. First one was dub Show Love (Live at Stream) featuring Lewis and Bentality . Second one was Hommat Etenee (feat. Bentality,Lewis). 2022 during dark times band is releasing new retrofuzz single "Dark Clouds", heavy times needs heavy medicine!
