One of the silver linings of the pandemic was all the beautiful music that emerged from it. Pipe Down from the north shore of Lake Tahoe is exhibit A. The energy they bring to their live performances and the passion they have stirred up from a newfound fanbase is a remarkable thing to witness in such a short period of time. The five-piece band embody a seductive, groove-based, Cali-reggae vibe created from a culmination of talent and focused determination. Drawing parallels while setting a fresh course, they distill a signature sound from reggae, indie rock and hip hop. Considering how far Pipe Down has already come, it seems like the possibilities are endless.
