Biography

Tommy Love, a music producer and composer hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a prodigy with a rich musical heritage. Born into a family deeply rooted in the Pentecostal church, Tommy's early musical journey began alongside his kin, including the legendary jazz saxophonist Archie Shepp. Starting with the electric guitar, he swiftly expanded his repertoire to include drums, keyboards, and organs by the age of 13. Growing up in Germantown, Philadelphia, Tommy drew inspiration from early 2000s rap icons like Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Common. Middle school exposed him to diverse cultures, broadening his musical palette to embrace genres like rock, R&B, funk, blues, alternative, and folk. Influenced by musical greats such as Jimi Hendrix, Prince, The Neptunes, The Smiths, and Stevie Wonder, Tommy Love's thirst for knowledge propelled him to absorb the wisdom of his predecessors. By his freshman year at Howard University, Tommy was already producing for emerging local talents and established national acts. Today, as the co-founder and CEO of Core Valu, a Philadelphia-based production company, Tommy envisions healing a troubled world through his futuristic yet nostalgically infused creations.
