Born in San Francisco ca but left at the age of 2, after parents split Yung Hill was raised in Oakland ca. This is where it all started, raised in a home with 4 brothers Hill was the middle child. After learning that his brother Sam Hill was a upcoming artist he quickly followed his foot steps. In 1998 he joined a group known as Turf Skwad . A bunch of rowdy boys he grew up with. Hill gained the artist name Problem Child solely on him being in a lot of trouble in and out of jail or just his short temper. Hill did not want that to follow his rap career so he quickly changed his artist name to yunsta. This was a name the neighborhood gave him being the youngest out the bunch. After so many times of being incarcerated People started calling him by his last name Hill. Well because everyone is called by their last name.
