Britne' "Byllz” Cooper was born September 8th 1988. As a child she would go to studio sessions with her mother, watching her sing wth her girl group. As a preteen she watched her brother sing on the Apollo with his group NTY. Byllz recorded her first single "I Can't" with No Nonsence Family at the age of sixteen as a singer. Later that year she joined Beazy House Ent. where she slowly evolved from a singer to a rapper recording her first mixtape, "E.L.M.O." as Elmo, a name she was given in high school. In 2008 she began playing with Simplicity Band as lead vocalist and rapper. She was in several go-go bands after Simplicity witch she accredits to her overcoming her stage fright. She went solo at the age of twenty-two and began recording and performing solo music. In 2012 she changed her name from Elmo to Byllz. A name derived from “Byllie” witch is a nickname she was given because of her resemblance to her father Bill. She worked diligently to perfect her craft recording several other mixtapes over the next few years and fully committing herself to every open mic and radio platform she could reach. In 2016 she was given the award for Best Female Lyricist at the DMV Undaground Awards and in 2019 she was nominated for Best Female Rapper at the Titan Arts Awards. To date she has multiple music videos available on YouTube, numerous singles and features on all major platforms, and multiple mixtapes. She’s performed in cities across the United States and is an Independent Artist.
