My name is Paul Husbands. I am a singer-songwriter. Most of my songs are love songs. I wrote most of my 1st songs after I got broken up with from my 1st girlfriend. 1 of my songs were written for her while we were together. My biggest influences: The Beatles, Paul McCartney, John Lennon , Elton John , Lady Gaga , Billy Joel , Barry Manilow. I’ve been playing piano for about 12 years. I was 1st introduced to the world of music through Billy Joel’s My Life. I'd fallen in love with the rock/pop of the 60’s-80's. When I 1st sang before an audience, at my 8th grade talent show, Me, my guitarist friend AJ, and my dad on drums did Billy Joel's Pressure. I loved doing it so much I decided to keep at it. The next song I sang before people was Barry Manilow's Mandy at a piano concert. I 1st heard that song right after my 1st breakup so that song means alot to me. The 1st song I wrote was A Song for You, was written for my then, and 1st, girlfriend. After I finished it I never got the chance to give it to her, I really wish I did. Almost every song on my first album is either songs for her or songs made after the breakup. Like Mysterious Love. Penned when I was thinking about the time we were one. Some things were added (never slapped me), but most of it was how I felt towards the end. I Love You was a song I made almost right after.
