James Johnson, better known as Jayjay born on April 29th 1996, is an afrobeat/hip-hop artist from Igboora, Ipokia, Ogun, Nigeria. He went to Calvary Primary School followed by Methodist Grammar School in Igboora. 
 Jayjay started releasing music on Audiomack in 2019 releasing singles of his own as well as featuring on other on local artist’s songs. He would continue to release music like this for 3 years including the releases of Update, Zero Panic & Lifestyle before signing to DrillMentalsRecords in 2022 and releasing Bounce & Journey.
