From a small-town in Ontario Canada, Raymond (Rukkuz) King is challenging indigenous systemic oppression through his alter ego Wendego. Previously the frontman for Killing Clarence, you can still hear the gritty voice of a metal singer within his new style of music. ​ With influences like Eminem, Hopsin, Dax, and fellow indigenous rapper Hellnback, you'll notice how he has come to incorporate his Hip-Hop influences with his metal background to create a raspy and grimy alter ego, named Wendego. ​ After spending the majority of his youth, and his early adult years incarcerated by Corrections Canada, Wendego has become a strong advocate for indigenous rights, addiction recovery, and the destigmatization of mental health.
