From Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain), guitarist, arranger and composer, much of his work is focused in the study, direction and writing of music for Big Band, both professionals and students. His arrangements can be heard on recordings of various Catalan Big Bands. In 2013 he founded his own Big Band with some of the best jazz musicians on the Catalan scene, the Vicens Martín Dream Big Band. For it he has written music, winned awards and premiered several shows such as Els Fruits Saborosos with Gemma Abrié on poems by Josep Carner (Temps Record, 2014), Suite Barcelona, Amics 10 Anys with Els Amics de les Arts, Sinatra 100 Anys with Bruno Oro, the Dream Big Funk Band with Alex Delgado and Alba Pérez, or Nadal Big Band also with Gemma Abrié. With a small group, he has recorded two albums with the Vicens Martín Grup: Records (Col·lecció del Taller, 2003) and Suite Urbana (Nómada 57, 2011). The latest show premiered is Sci-Fi, with music based on science fiction novels.
