Lal Weragoda (ලාල් වේරගොඩ) is Sri Lankan lyricist and Author as well as Teacher.He has contributed to more than 50 popular songs ranges from classical pop.In 2013, he released the 16-song CD "Sanda Eliya Pamula" with lyrics by Lal Weragoda. Later in 2015 he wrote many songs like Sashika Nisansala - "Malin Malata", Nelu Adikari - ''Nekathata Muduwa Damana'' and senior singer Edward Jayakody- ''Kuveniyage Geethaya'' and Tissa Jayaratne - "Geethayaki Oba". The song "Daye Samagiya" produced by Jathika Rupavahini for the 65th Independence Day celebrations in 2015 was composed and sung by singer Devika Chathurani and Chandraratne Illeperuma. In 2019 "Suwanda Malaki" by Dr. Nandamalani and Ravisha Devumini Welikada In 2020 "Ma Priya Sandune" by Sashika Nisansala and Chandrarathna Illeperuma In 2021 "Kanamediri Tharu" by Wasantha Thilakangani In 2021 "Rathu Neluma" by Krishantha Erandaka
