Jay has been around making beats for local cats since early 2000s as he joined D’Army and producing their sole album. For more than a decade carrying the flag of hard grimmy boombap and dark soundscape with a signature influenced by early DJ Muggs, DJ Lethal, Dr.Dre and the Bomb Squad. His long discography displays his true talents, Jay is the cat behind some of the greatest albums local scene ever produced including some of our finests; “Swagton Nirojim” and “9051”, not to mention his remixes for groups like Homicide and Efek Rumah Kaca. In recent years he became a part of Napalm Squad, a production unit with his mentors Morgue Vanguard and DJ Evil Cutz. His full length is delayed due to the pandemic, but this EP is a proper prelude.
