Lava is a Paris-based, Chicago born, producer, rapper, and writer. His aim with his music is to be raw, and emotional, and capture the deepest feelings of whatever he needed to share with the world at the moment of creation. He feels that this is his calling - to make music - to be the emotional core for anyone who can relate to the emotions he shares, no matter what the experiences may look like. The story is different, but the feeling is the same. "My aim is to pour my heart and soul into every song, so when you hear it, you feel it, and you know you’re not alone." He's been compared to A Boogie and Travis Scott, and has been told he has a skill for capturing a vibe by Grammy-winning songwriter Andrae Alexander. Lava first picked up the piano when he was four years old. His granny showed him how to finger a “C” chord, and there was no looking back. From that, he quickly picked up the bass, guitar, and drums, seemingly able to bluff his way through any instrument. When he was fourteen, he started producing for artists around his hometown, Chicago and briefly received props for his beats from the late Young Pappy. Soon after, he started gaining momentum on the internet as “Young Laval” and attracted the attention of Lyrical Lemonade and other underground Music Blogs. Since then, Lava has started his own self-produced project with the release of "Yayo" heavily influenced by Lana Del Rey and Travis Scott.
