Danish poet, singer/songwriter, painter and all round creative force of nature Flemming Lund has been active for 10+ years engaging in his own particular brand of beautiful nonsense. Always in motion, his process and artistic development is simply mesmerizing. His signature is a mixture between the somewhat eccentric, humorous and complex expression that lies in his lyrical output, and the simple, naivistic tone that follows his musical endeavors whether in the grungy, DIY alias Slagger Lund or his spoken word lofi-tinged bandcamp-slacker duo outfit ‘Det Maniske Kompas’. The core of his artistic entity lies somewhere between the elegantly weird and a tongue in cheek form of controlled chaos. A lust for life is channeled in every piece of content he puts out, giving his audience a window to see themselves when following his journey, across all platforms. He instills curiosity in the recipient and often puts his personal struggles in a context that is both poetic, entertaining and relatable whatever the artistic format might be. Based in Aarhus and first published in a collection of poems named ‘Udbrud og Efterspørgsel’ (Hvasseline Poplishing 2010), Flemming Lund has been his own since the get go.
