With musical roots in hip hop as a result of rapping and making beats in high school, Elliott Richards, now Liquid Candi, transitioned into electronic music in 2018 when he was introduced to house music via a friend who taught him how to DJ. Now, at 24, he is at the beginning of his musical career, with his debut single “Island” released on the first Friday of summer 2021. Amongst that, Liquid Candi is working on a concept album “Candi Land” that will feature original productions and remixes of songs that use the candy motif, and a mass of complementary visual art derived from candy like imagery.
