Brought up in a family of non musicians, born and raised in Ntabazinduna, Bulawayo Zimbabwe before leaving at the age of 20 to live in Canberra, Australia. Makhoe Drey is a rising vocalist focusing more on Afro pop. In 2022, Makhoe Drey released his first ever official studio album “iNdandatho” with seventeen songs, he went on to release his second official studio album “iSahluko” carrying eleven songs in 2023, with love and respect for his career, the Ntabazinduna bred vocalist went on to release his third official studio album in 2024 “ISahluko saleNdandatho” which consists of twelve songs. On his rise, Makhoe Drey performed as a supporting artist on the 2024 Zimfest in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in Australia and this to him was a highlight of where his career is heading. Part of his amazing journey, Makhoe Drey once hosted a home coming event back home in Ntabazinduna in December 2022 and it turned out well as 400+ people turned up for him. With his electrifying love songs, amazing voice and choice or words, Makhoe Drey has collaborated with Big Zulu, one of the biggest names in South Africa, he has also collaborated with Andy Muridzo, one of the most gifted vocalist in Zimbabwe.
