Jasmin Sokolies is a singer/songwriter and spoken word artist from Florida. Born in Frankfurt, Germany, the lyricist moved to Saint Petersburg, Florida at the age of eight. At the age of sixteen, Jasmin discovered the art of prose and poetry through practicing with peers and their debate teacher while attending high school in Texas. Jasmin began performing spoken word at bars an open mics when she returned to Florida in 2004. While studying criminology at the University of South Florida, she also performed for inmates at maximum security prisons throughout the state. Jasmin's spoken word and singing has also reached many listeners in London while studying for her masters in human rights. After relocating to Barcelona, Jasmin began singing with live bands and started hosting her own “Juicey Jazz” radio show on 107.3 Barcelonacityfm, providing a platform for other artists to share their music, often independent artists and with a focus on neo-soul & hip-hop. After returning to Frankfurt, Germany, Jasmin started recording professionally and released her first single Know Ya Lova from her debut EP on the 8th of October 2019.
