Emycst (Em-ist) is an aspiring American hip hop artist rising out the streets of El Monte, CA. Representing his diverse upbringing, Emycst also takes pride in his Latino descent and his hometown in the San Gabriel Valley. Emycst first began releasing music at the young age of 16. Garnering attention locally his SoundCloud put up substantial numbers in his beginning moves. However shortly after, in 2016 Emycst fell into more unfortunate circumstances and had to help his family by working full time while pursuing his college education. Torn between survival and chasing his ambitions and dreams, Emycst doubled down on his genius and got to work, eventually creating enough stability to quit his day job and pursue music full time. Emycst prepped and when The Covid-19 Pandemic of 2020 hit, he rose to the occasion and used the extra time behind doors to get studio time and produced his latest hit singles such as "well rounded" and "remedy+" and made his official debut on all streaming platforms.
