Majin Cost is a rapper of Sierra Leonean descent, a blood diamond born and raised in Athens, Greece. His influences in his younger years included East and West coasts sounds, as well as south coast rappers like Jeezy. Cost is also a member of the ATH Kids collective. He first indulged in the music world from junior high school when a friend and himself decided to start recording in a home studio. The link up led on to other members from their circle to get involved alongside them - whether it was rapping or producing - they wanted to create music. As years passed, Cost began developing his own unique and darker sound which led to titling himself the ‘Black Poseidon’. The reference comes from Greek Mythology - the idea that his voice could create waves on a track. His first mixtape was released in 2016 on Soundcloud titled ‘Majin’ which means demon in Japanese. In 2020 his new EP is expected to be titled ‘Black Poseidon’ as well as releasing the visuals for the track ‘Ride or Die’
