FIORELLA16 is the one-person project by José María Málaga, which began in 2003 in Arequipa, Peru. His recordings, mainly lo-fi aesthetics, have been released throughout the world on different labels and netlabels specializing in noise, drone and shoegaze. In his live performances, Fiorella16 flirts with stridency, distortion and the improvisation of vaporous melodies; an ethereal and versatile game that has led him to perform on stages in Peru, Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Bolivia, Chile, Brazil and Argentina.
