Southern LA's JUICYPEAR is the serotonin-packed, sonic lovechild of Jacob & Jasmine Mayeda. The husband-wife band was borne amidst 2020's societal heaviness, with a small offering of shimmering power-pop, providing an essential dose of levity, bliss and tenderness to weary souls worldwide. After nearly three years of playing gigs around the LA area and landing their infectious, nu disco-tinged single “Golden Sky” on a variety of TV spots with Hulu, NBC, The CW & MTV, the duo released its debut full-length project in Fall 2023. JUICYPEAR’s anticipated self-titled project is a collection of nine songs, including their previously unreleased single “Island,” a soulful, dream-pop collaboration with friend and fellow SoCal indie act Haiva Ru. “This album is essentially our life journey together up to this point,” Jasmine says. “They touch on the ups and downs of getting married, starting a family and exploring life through the lens of a life partner. These are songs about what true, tender, timeless love feels like and a firsthand account of what it looks like to put in the work to better ourselves for each other and as individuals. These songs have been some of the most beautiful creations we’ve made because they are real and tell our story.”
