Biography

Australian rock four-piece WAAX return with their long-awaited, highly-anticipated sophomore LP in 2022 – At Least I’m Free, out now.
Featuring their signature ferocious sound that has won them a legion of fans both in Australia and internationally, At Least I’m Free also boasts an exciting new level of song-writing that sees them explore a myriad of styles – from punk anthems to piano ballads.
That is thanks in part to working alongside producers Bernard Fanning (Powderfinger) and Nick Didia (Bruce Springsteen), as well as collaborating with US heavyweights Linda Perry (4 Non Blondes, P!nk, Christina Aguilera) and K.Flay.
The result is a record unlike anything WAAX has released before, but is guaranteed to find its way into the hearts of rock lovers everywhere.
As WAAX lead singer Maz Devita says, “Our album is one of duality and extremes. The highest highs and lowest lows. No in-betweens. BUCKLE UP.”
