An immensely gifted composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist, Mehran Matin develops musical narratives that unfold as a result of both deliberate searching and chance uncovering. Expansion has become part of Matin’s artistic identity. His music is a celebration of the inherent differences in musical perspectives that promote true artistic synergy. Capturing the truth in each moment’s conception of sound comes naturally to Matin. Mehran Matin was born in 1996. He is a classically trained musician. He began playing the violin at the age of fourteen and piano at eighteen years old. Matin's interest in producing electronic music was piqued after hearing Intense by the Dutch record producer Armin van Buuren. Matin, like virtually all musicians, was sidelined during the pandemic. He used the opportunity to compose, shifting his area of concentration from inward statements to thoughts projected outward in shared experiences with everyone else in the world during the COVID pandemic. He returned to recording in 2022 and released Seesaw on Fading Sound Records in July. Mehran Matin has a wide range of musical influences, uses several musical instruments, and crosses cultural borders with his work, but at his center he is an intense player of the violin. In his playing, Matin often pins Electronic music structures to the rich melodies of the Western classical and jazz music. To date, Matin has appeared on over 50 recordings that are released worldwide.
