Biography

NameSpace Ben Shaw and Ben Summers. Ben Shaw has been producing and remixing for more than 25 years, starting off under the Sunscape alias on Barrie Jamieson’s label Fluid Recordings, before releasing under his own name with his biggest track “So Strong” feat. Adele Holness on Cass, Slide and Lee Burridge's Fire label back in 2001. Following this he ran his own label Kubist Recordings in 2003, seeing several vinyl releases. Ben has since been releasing music on various labels including Omnis, Repressure, Per-Vurt, Mesmeric, 99% Recordings and Black Hole. Ben Summers has been DJing for over 20 years. Ben has released music on several labels, including Lowbit and Stripped. His 2012 track Phobos7 has had support from Sasha who charted the Thermal Bear remix on his July 2012 Beatport chart. After a long hiatus Ben has been back in the studio in 2020. He released 'Into the Golden Sun' in December 2020 on Guerilla Movement gaining support from the likes of Pete Tong, Maceo Plex and Nick Muir. As a duo, NameSpace's first release was "The Sentinel" which was swiftly signed to highly acclaimed label Stripped Recordings. The Sentinel was remixed by Deepfunk and Global Underground regular Jim Rivers. NameSpace have gone on to remix tracks by Seb Dhajje, Deepfunk and Tilt to name just a few. In 2015 they also collaborated with Tilt on their album Resonator making the track 'Ku'. That year NameSpace also headlined their own live gig and in the loft at the Ministry of Sound.
