Joabe Reis is one of the most important trombonists and artists of the new instrumental jazz urban scene. Joabe is a trombonist, composer and producer. He released his critically acclaimed first album in 2020, featuring Toninho Horta, Nelson Ayres and Elliot Mason, a member of the Lincoln Center at Orchestra. Joabe reveres jazz, highly influenced by Hip-Hop, Neo Soul, Funk and Pop. Joabe was invited by Macy Gray to play on her tour in Brazil with four sold-out shows at Blue Note SP and Rock in Rio. Consolidating himself as an artist who transits between jazz and pop, in the same month he was invited by Toninho Horta to a show in honor of Raul e Souza. In the last two years Joabe release Primeira Dose, I Just Wanna Breathe feat Sintese and Homem Pássaro feat Paula Lima. Moreover, before he released his first album, he has already played with artists such as Ivan Lins, Bob Mintzer, Robin Eubanks, Hermeto Pascoal, Hamilton de Holanda, Anitta and Roberto Menescal. He plays on some television programs such as The Voice Brasil. In 2023 Joabe will release 028, a new album which is an homage to the city where he was born, Cachoeiro de Itapemirim -ES. The single Partido Alto is already recorded and it features the legendary Bob Mintzer and Gabriel Grossi.
