Brace yourself for sultry, sweet, ethereal vibes! Mia Josefine is an Australian singer-songwriter. Her signature is an evocative, disarming vocal framed by a considered, stripped back instrumental. Being originally forbidden to pursue music, Mia began her musical journey in the shadows. Inspired first by her neighbour's rock n roll records playing over their fence, Mia fell in love with chasing melodies on her piano, and quickly became the "neighbourhood jukebox". When her family moved to Japan, she developed a fast fascination for pop (in all its’ glorious forms) and emotional vocalists such as ballad queen Akina Nakamori. Mia plays 'by ear' and writes her original music largely on the piano, and most recently on the ukulele. She works out of her own studio where she provides support for budding artists and performs as a sometimes Disney princess for children's parties.
