Little Rock Native, music artist Tsunami has an ingenious visionary rap style. Growing up he listened to Cash Money ’s rap group Hot Boys, with Lil Turk being his favorite . At age 10, with a boom box playing music, having another boom box set up next to it, he would record himself holding down the play and record button where he recorded his first cassette tape called “Better Get This S**t”. HIs family had relocated to Atlanta in 2003. At that time he became more influenced by artists such as Paul Wall and Chamillonaire. In his adolescence, he and his best friend Dionta, known as rap artist Yung Caf would then get together and make music. CAF would say it was Tsunami’s idea for them to take music serious and take things to the next level. Tsunami’s other Best friend Yung Teddy who was also a rap artist who passed away Jaurary 2, 2013 had been Tsunami’s motivation to keep going. Tsunami describes Yung Teddy as his brother and being one of his personal influences on music. Tsunami’s rap style consists of having concepts, rhyming words with 3 or more syllables and bringing animation to the music. Tsunami has a huge catalog of music with over 14k streams. On streaming apps such as Spotify, he has over 12K monthly listeners while still being an independent artist.
